Camshafts and OIl pump drive. These part are for those who would
like to build the motor themselves.
I'll start with the parts to do it there with you. The case is based upon the later 3.6ltr air cooled motor.
The common motor is 76.4 X 100mm. This is the factory Porsche stroke and bore for a 3.6ltr. 2/3tr's of 3.6 is 2.4ltrs.
76.4 X 102mm bore is 2.5
76.4 x. 104 bore is 2.6ltrs
78mmX 105 bore is 2.7 ltrs etc.
The bores larger than 102mm are from a specialty cylinder maker here in the U.S.
I'd use Pauter american rods, Factory chain gear, factory cooler, factory alternator and fan, Alumium flywheel, twin plugs.
I would port the intake if the motor is larger than 2.5ltrs.
These are the basics.
a complete motor will have been run on a stand and check. It comes with
clutch , distributor, carberation, plug wires, etc. finished.
